How to Break Your Dating Patterns

We all have dating patterns, and they can definitely be hard to break.
For Cyndi Olin, this wasn’t any exception!
For years, she felt as though she was wearing man-repellant, causing every man she went on a date with to run for the hills.
But all hope wasn’t lost! She was able to find out the key to breaking her dating patterns and connecting with men.

Date More Than One Man at a Time

When it comes to meeting men and breaking the dating patterns that you’ve established for yourself, it’s important to consider dating more than one man at a time. It may feel like an unauthentic or not obvious option right now, but it will give you a leg up if one man ends up disappearing without a trace.
Dating two to three men at one time isn’t actually a lot. In reality, many men do the same thing with the women that they’re dating. As long as you stay transparent, you’ll be on your way toward marriage much more quickly than if you were dating one man at a time. This way, you won’t be so attached to one man in case he leaves, and you won’t be back at square one.

Hire a Dating and Relationship Coach

If you want to break your dating patterns, a great way to get on the right track is by hiring a dating and relationship coach. It’s incredibly helpful to talk with someone you trust to help you work out your dating issues and discover exactly what your dating patterns are. When you have a dating and relationship coach, you have someone that’s able to see your blind spots—the parts of you that you wouldn’t normally be able to identify on your own.
Your coach will be able to help you determine your “Fabulous Five,” or the five must-have things you’re looking for in your dream relationship. This way, you’ll be able to weed out the men that won’t be a perfect match for you, and you won’t be settling for anything that isn’t a major must-have in your life.

Identify the Common Thread in Your Past Relationships

It’s critical that you look back on your past relationships to identify the Golden Thread that may have been present—you might have just never known it was there! When you’re able to move forward with clarity and intention, you’ll be able to finally let go of any outcomes that may result in a relationship. You’ll finally be able to free yourself from the anxiety that comes with trying to find a real connection and really become familiar with your own needs and desires, which ultimately brings you closer to understanding your own identity as a woman seeking real love.
It’s incredibly important that you identify the common theme of your past relationships to understand why they didn’t work in the end. After you do this, you’ll be able to move forward with your next relationships to fix your mistakes and finally break your dating patterns.
