How to Answer the Dreaded Question: “Why Are You Single?”:
So, the other day I was watching this dating reality TV show, and this couple was on a first date.
The date was going great until…
He asked her the dreaded question…
“So…Why are you single??”
And that question immediately brought down the energy on the date.
She felt her body completely tense up, while she was searching in her head for the best way to answer that question.
She knew she had to answer it in the “right way”, otherwise he might think that she’s single because no man would want to date her.
So, as I sat there watching this unfold, I thought to myself that’s the worst question anyone could ever ask on a first date!
But how many times have you been asked that exact question on a date and didn’t know how to answer it?
So, here’s some great tips on how to answer, “So, why are you single?” with confidence:

Take a light hearted attitude and use humor!
The worst thing you can do is get defensive when a man asks you that question on a date.
Be light hearted and just ask him that question back….because he is after all, single too!

Tell him you don’t just want to be in a relationship with any man
You don’t want to be in a relationship with any man, you want to pick the right man who can be a part of your entire life.

I’ve been really busy and dating hasn’t been my priority
You can be honest and tell him that dating hasn’t be your priority because you’ve been busy with other things, like your career.
So it’s inevitable, you will get that dreaded question at some point, but it’s important to not get insecure and to just use your sense of humor and put a positive spin on it.
And then…you can change the subject to a topic that makes you feel more comfortable!
